Go down, please, down. It's not as though they've anyone playing for England either.

I will be happily willing on the men of Kent in the RL final.

So you'll be willing on the XI containing more non-English qualified players and far less club academy products then...?

Not sure the first part will be the case, not that bothered by the second bit (although presumably most players are products of some county's academy anyway).

I am saddened by Hantsvaal's continuing imported bowling attack. Perhaps like Airbus and BMW they'll be forced to relocate after Brexit.

Kuhn, Dickson and Henry v Steyn and Rossouw (if he even plays).

By club academy players I was referring to locally produced players who came through the academy of the county they're representing.

I understood what you meant about academies. Perhaps the success of "English qualified" players in the RL50 should encourage Hantsvaal to give them a go in their 4-day side as well.

Sean Ervine has joined Derbyshire for the rest of the season on loan. Not sure what has happened between him and Hants but sad to see him go. A stalwart for Hants over the last decade and played some great innings. (2005 Lords Final century springs to mind)

Yes, yes, i know he's the sort of player why Hants are called Hantsvaal or Kolpakshire but he has given the club great service. There'll probably be an omerta regarding his departure which, if the case, furthers my disenchantment with Hampshire and the manner in which the club now operates.

Aneurin Donald is joining on loan then permanently from next summer I assume as a replacement.

Nothing more then a pinch hitter (and not a very good one either)- can’t even get in the Glamorgan batting line up. His biggest issue is that he believes himself to be so much better than he is. Not well liked amongst his peers at Glamorgan and fully expected to be back playing club cricket in South Wales in 2 years time.

Hampshire have signed a dud.

Jimmy Adams has announced he will retire at the end of the season. A true stalwart for the club.

Interesting one. Did the Bears not want to keep him?

Hampshire will field one English qualified bowler next season then. Hopefully he’ll play against Notts instead of Fidel Edwards who seems to cause Notts untold problems.

There's been 2 English qualified bowlers playing in the majority of championship matches this season already.

Reece Topley leaves Hants. 112 overs in 2017, 51.1 in 2018. Probably will only want a white ball contract for now.

Will he follow Chopra and Wheater and return to Essex?

There's definitely room for him in our white ball side.
