I'd make a polite inquiry to see if Mr Tredwell fancies making a move to the champions also...

I'm sure I remember Voges scoring a hundred against Sussex at Hove. It may have been a one-day game, but I'm not so sure. It was the first thing I thought of when reading through Pet's post. Not that it really matters. He was excellent last season, he has great composure. He has shown that again in this short spell with us. Given a long stint with a county, especially on a flatter wicket than Trent Bridge, he'd score a lot of runs.

PS - any video highlights would be very nice around about now. I was too busy eating my nails, my fingers then my hand to worry about recording stuff. Am a little bit embarrassed now by how mental I went when Chanderpaul was sent on his way. If the whole street didn't hear me I'd be very surprised. They can get f*cked, I suppose.

Mul .... "DO IT"!!

Yep and the interview with voges - the pictures aren't bad either.

I was just thinking about shreck, that's why hes got to go in my book.

His type of rabbit batting is finished - could you imagine if it was shreck coming in at 390-9 - he normally lasts about 2 balls - all out 390

Sicknote on football focus.

Surprised they could fit his head in the frame. Super Graeme Swann FFS.

Forgetting his dodgy 2008 season, Voges' record for Notts in the CC is as follows:

11 matches, 15 innings, 1 not out, 951 runs, average 68, 7 fifties, 2 hundreds.

I don't think he has an IPL contract, and is unlikely to be in the Champions League as Dussey's Victoria seem to monopolise the Aussie T20 competition. I'd be really tempted just to give him the full season next year - if not surely some other county will do so, so we won't be able just to ring him up whenever Dussey wants to go fishing or something.

Voges had a Rajasthan Royals contract. I'm using the past tense because I think it's all change for the next IPL - he might not get another

Cheers for the clarification Gilo, I was going by what was said on the radio and we all know how accurate they are with their information! Was still a fine hundred to see him get though and I'd be more than happy to see him back at Trent Bridge again.

Is that chinny **** trying to blag some of the cash for his county 'performances'? (sorry not watched the link yet). If so, they should tell the **** to get ****ed. Notts are moving on now without him, I'd cancel his bloody contract, he is surplus to requirements.

No he didnt even mention Notts if remember - no i was just thinking the 400k, hows it split ? its not right that someone can play 1-2 games and pick up the same bonus as say Adams, Read who have played in most

It's split on a per game basis. That's the case with Yorks' prize money anyway, and there's no reason for it to be any different with you. So there's no need for anti-Swann ranting

Its Notts thread, Chinny is a Notts player, so I'll rant as much as I like about him on here thank you very much.

And just to be sure, the bloke is a ****ing nob.

Just because it's on the Notts thread, doesn't mean it can't be disagreed with. All I've seen gives the impression your dislike of Swann is both irrational and baseless.

I mean really, at least read what the article's about before you start ranting.

I didn't say it couldn't be disagreed with, I disagreed with being told there was no need for anti-swann ranting. There is always a place for anti swann ranting because he is such a nob.

Perhaps you need to go back and read some of the posts from the past, where the reasons for my dislike of him are documented. To me it is neither irrational or baseless, if you think otherwise, then fair enough.

I recall most of the reasons given for disliking Swann on here, and apart from one tale of a few years ago which seemed to come directly from Mark Wagh, the rest seem well within the benefit of the doubt if you care to give it to Swann. If there are more definite ones than that, you're free to remind me.

Well you are more than welcome to give Swann that benefit of doubt. They fall outside it for me, but I suspect I've spent far more time at Trent Bridge during Swann's time there than by your good self. I don't really mind the bloke when he is playing for the English-ish team and do like to see him doing well. I just don't particularly want to see him in a Notts shirt again. For me, he uses the club for his own convenince on his own terms.

Like England have progressed beyond Flintoff, Notts have progressed beyond Swann now. Fauning to him is detrimental to the future development of the club.

That is a fine achievement for both Pattinson & Dussey

Good to see that Dussey was thinking of his Notts team mates while in SA as well.....

David Hussey was amongst the first to congratulate the Notts dressing room having watched live coverage from South Africa where he is preparing for the Champions League.

"I watched the game all afternoon and I was certainly very nervous when we were nine down needing 400 runs but the boys pulled through and I'm delighted for them," said Hussey.

Top bloke I hope we will see again at TB, although depending on schedules next season it might make more sense to go with Voges.
