That was Kawajas highest score overseas in 2 years, 75 runs LOL.

At least he got over 50.

Maybe in the next 2 years he might crack the 80 barrier away, go Usman!.

Some people have very low standards and know very little about cricket.

I'm not quite prepared to write Australia off just yet with the tails canny knack of scoring runs, but that was a superb innings by ABD and likely a match-winning one. Hope he sticks around for a couple of more years.

Seems Rabada will miss 2 tests, with only himself to blame as he can't seem to help himself. I make Australia slight favourites as a result unless Steyn comes in and is fit.

Looks like a huge loss for SA to be honest. I think that is a significant game changer for the rest of the series. SA can bring Morkel back, they can possibly even bring in Steyn too but it speaks volumes for me that these two veterans now are unlikely to hold a candle to their young successor. Ngidi is a find too.

Its a disgrace theyve given him two weeks for just a little shoulder brush, match fine at the max it should have been.
Weve got a big lucky break there thats a harsh call for the saffas.

Rabada's in trouble again for the send off he gave Warner after getting him out. Think he just gave a little celebratory scream in Warner's direction as he went past but really not that clever given the trouble he's already in.

Meanwhile, Mitch Marsh hasn't quite got the sledging thing sorted. After Rabada got him out this morning he responded with "F You, C" as he walked off. Probably another thing for the Match Ref to sort out.

What an absolute superstar Rabada is. He is destined to become one of the all time greats.

Rabada has 4 Ten Wicket Matches now from 28 Tests. To put that in perspective, Steyn has 5 from 82 whilst Donald only had 3 in his career.

As far as proportion of 10 Wicket Matches go, only Barnes, Grimmett and Murali are ahead.

Yes, silly in the circumstances, but these days one can't celebrate wickets exuberantly like sometimes they have done in the past.

Rabada missing the rest of the series is enough to tilt the balance in the favour of the visitors.

If SA gets this paltry total, Rabada has to be MOTM.

Important context for steyn and Donald is that their careers coincided with The Greatest so their wicket taking chances were limited*

Given that Steyn has broken down on his last few comeback attempts in Tests i'm not sure they can realistically pick him, certainly not as part of a four man attack anyway. It's a shame he might never get to the summit of South African Test wickets - which would have constituted a pretty crazy thought just a few years back.

Although I am a big fan of Rabada, before everyone goes a bit crazy I am not sure that too many test batting sides are stronger than what they were vis a vis 10 years ago. The only ones who can claim to be better are Bangladesh. Everyone else of the main test match batting nations are weaker, with possibly the exception of New Zealand (fair to middling) and Windies (no better/no worse than 10 years back).

I'd say Pollock and Ntini were bigger factors than Kallis chipping in with roughly 2.5 wickets a match.

Ntini has 4 10W Matches by the way.

Another factor was that teams seemed to have 2 outstanding bowlers per side too. McGrath/Warne, Murali/Vaas, Akram/Waqar, Donald/Pollock, Ambrose/Walsh etc etc. No wonder Athers couldn't average 40!!

Unfortunatly Rabada's a serial offender, and this has taken him over the 20 Demerit points mark. Otherwise he would have got off with a fine.

Sorry to have to do a bit of modding but unfortunately some posts that are going wildly off topic concerning race/religion have been aired. I'm therefore removing.

So while Rabada awaits the ICC, he earns another Umpires report for getting in Warners face and screaming at him like a pork chop. Good bowler, but he might not be the sharpest tool in the shed this fella.

Strange how this stuff only seems to happen at top level. If you were to start getting right in peoples faces and screaming at them in club cricket like Rabada does, someone is inevitably going to end up dropping you.

Would love to see a batsman hit a boundary off him and then run straight at him, get right in his face and start screaming at him on his follow through. Would pay good money to see that lol.

There's plenty of leeway for bowlers to carry on and even for a bit of a send off, it's all part of the drama and entertainment. Rabada hasn't quite worked out how to do that yet. Seems the ICC agree.

Won't miss him at all if he gets rubbed out for a couple of matches, more annoying than Starc at his worst. It'll still be good tough cricket.

Good win for the Saffers, thought they would bounce back strongly. Considering the performances of Rabada and de Villiers we held in there better than expected. Thought it might have been an innings thumping at one stage. They were far too good for us here, now on to the next one.
