The fact that Thunder have yet to win a game this season might help explain it.

Today:
Wright: 45 (40)
KP: 15 (8)
Bell: 45 (38)
Morgan: 8 (10)

Willey: 2/15 so far.

Yes the Thunder do look particularly weak. Having Watson as skipper doesn't really inspire confidence. That said Perth at the WACA are almost unbeatable.

Both matches were pretty poor at least the first one had a couple of comical overs (one with 11 balls I think including 4 wides, 1 nb that would have been a wide and a wicket and another over that had 3 run outs).

England's current limited overs captain being outperformed by a previous one.

Like the other night when he struggled with flat batted shots on a lowish wicket and then looks much better hitting straight which makes you wonder why he just doesn't try that from the start!

Not really!

30 from his last 11 balls faced. You might wait to make those comments!

Good comeback from the current England skipper.

Won the game and MoM. Shame Pietersen could only manage a pretty 60.

Stars were let down by their lower order - they were looking at close to 200 when KP was out. Just shows that even in T20, it's wickets which make the difference...

I wonder if Morgan was galvanised by KP's innings and his desire to outdo it? He certainly came good at the right time for his team and the England one-day tour. The Stars had looked nailed on to win that one.

Oh ffs. Morgan has made a headline grabbing innings vs an attack whose best bowler is Shane Watson. We will now have to keep him as England skip.

Must have been a good knock though.

Oh dear.

Anyhow, Zampa and Faulkner are not exactly T20 cannon fodder.

FWIW, Watson took 3/23 from 4 overs whilst Morgan was fielding alongside him.

LOL. Don't let the facts get in the way of a good moan eh?

Most of that attack have recently bowled for Australia in ODIs and T20Is. Only Hilfenhaus and Beer haven't done so in the last 18 months.

It was good for Morgan to get some runs but it seems rather pointless from the teams perspective as it looks like they now have Vince replacing both him and Andre Russell as Russell looks like he'll be out for the rest of the tourney and they're only allowed 3 overseas players per competition as far as I know, it doesn't look good for them!

I thought you said one of your new year's resolutions was going to be to proof read and check what you're posting.

I lied. I am going to take a break from here though because it is not as fun as it used to be with too many taking themselves too seriously.

Indeed. He has a gift. Not many hit the ball so effortlessly and clean. His last 6 scores; 98*, 13, 84*, 85*, 29, 59*

With a FC average of 44, could you argue his case for a position in the test side, Warner style?
