I've really enjoyed listening to Steve Smith in the commentary box today, if he could do that rather than play during the ashed that'll be grand!

Once in a generation batsman. He can't get a game for England, yet Gareth Batty can. Makes you wonder.

He was good wasn't he. Didn't know his nickname was Smudge either until Callum Ferguson said it.

Isn't that the nickname for anyone whose surname is Smith?

It's used a lot in England not sure about Australia and have never heard it used in America.

Pietersen run out after having a bit of a barny about Pollock bowling with a bandage on his hand.

I love the backyard cricket skits they show. It's great interaction with the audience at home. Even if some of them are staged, it gets people playing.

Phenomenal innings being played by Ben McDermott here trying to chase down 220, haven't seen much of him before I have to say.

He's Craig's son. Looks like he's barely played any domestic cricket but he has smoked it today.

Incredible. Didn't get it anywhere near the middle of the bat but won them the game! Never seen a silly point in T20 before either, let alone for the last ball.

Haha you read my mind for some reason I was trying to think of the McDermott who played for Australia but for some reason it wouldn't come to me.

Brilliant game of cricket, Broad somehow gets Hobart home by hook or by crook, actually it's Broad so just by crook!

Not necessarily silly point but I think captains miss a trick by not having fielders very close to stop singles and get run-outs in limited overs cricket.

Fantastic finish to the game and brilliant from Broad (was it sang-froid, chutzpah or Renegades losing the plot?). Would have liked to see a super over though. Have there been any of those yet?

It was a dreadful last over from Perera which deserved to lose the game, even if Broad was lucky to get most of his runs. I haven't seen a super over this year yet.

And this is the guy that was being kept out of the side by the perennially underperforming Sangakara. Less internationals, more local kids.

Perennially? He's had a bad month not helped by seemingly being on the wrong end of a couple of the handful of excellent catches this BB. He's nowhere near the T20 player he is in first class or 50 over cricket though.

He's been very poor in this competition over a couple of years now. Not sure why he needs to play. Surely he would have made quite a sum in the IPL?

I don't think money's too big an issue with Sangakkara I'd imagine he's be successful away from cricket and has no doubt made a lot over the years. From what I've seen of his career and even recently at Surrey he just seems to love playing the game.

Great, if loves 'cricket' then i'd be happy for him to sign for Victoria for a shield season.

So you're happy for an overseas player to take a spot from a youngster in first class cricket but not 20/20 where there are more spots available?

Anyway I'm rather biased as I've always loved watching Sangakkara bat and I didn't see an issue with him being dropped anyway the only time he scored runs this BB he was under no real pressure as the game was virtually won.
