Highest West Indies batsman in the rankings. It's hard to believe he has only been playing Test cricket for 9 months.
Be interesting to see how he fairs in English conditions. At the moment he averages over 50 with the ball but he appears a real batting talent and a useful second spinner. For a while it looked possible there'd be no West Indes batsmen in the top 30 in the rankings by the time they toured England but Braithwaite has also just hung in there. Looking at the top 25 batsman there are 3 in there who have retired from test cricket.

Where are any of the Irish players in the ODI rankings? I appreciate they won't play as many so might not mean a lot, but am interested if any might be in a top 100

Thanks.

I suppose working on the basis of 8 big guns and 3-4 players per team, certainly batsmen, you might expect to be better than Irish players, somewhere around 25-30 would be pretty good IF they were playing more regularly.

Be interesting to see when next updated having played a few (more) ODIs, don't know if those are before, during or after their threesome.

Well he is number 1 only in ODIs. Made his ODI debut in July 15.

Going to be a big threat in the upcoming Tests. Didn't seem to have any trouble with the Lords slope 9-1-39-4.

I'm really looking forward to see rabadas career develop. Bout time we had a really promising quick bowler. It would be nice if he was English but I'll settle for a black South African

Regarding ODI team rankings - does the match between Zimb and Scotland count ? Scotland don't have a ranking.

Kane Williamson is arguably NZ's greatest ever batsman. I'll leave it at that.
