The gym belongs to Duncan Bannatyne who paid to have the lower tier of the County Durham Stand built. We are now spending 45m on re-development which includes increasing the permanent seating capacity to 20,000 and there will also be a 150 room hotel in the grounds.

I must say Durham do produce some good fielders Collingwood, Pratt, Parks, Borthwick.

Two catches for Borthwick today and one catch by the new Durham wicketkeeper.

His Dad is a pro rugby coach who was fired not so long ago. Family are only staying over here to see if the lad can make it.

We have now been told Chanderpaul wont be available for us until August 4th as the WIs have added a test against Bangladesh into their schedule just before then.

That test series has always been scheduled just the timing was altered about it because of the 20/20.

Either way it means we're only going to have him for 6 CC & CC Pro40 matches tops.

We should find someone else. I gather Andrew Symonds is available.

You'd think Symonds would be pretty likely to find a county now he hasn't been picked.
