If he is fit but he is no longer capable of consistently bowling above 80 mph then he should be dropped.
I think there are two issues with workload: the cumulative effect from playing so much and the lack of recovery time from playing back-to-back. Jerome Taylor appears to be a victim of the second.

Broad seems to be someone who needs to get overs in his legs, but even if that's the case (and I think there's more to it) a test match isn't the place for that.

Glad to hear it. I wouldn't imagine there's much advantage to trying to bowl particularly fast on this surface, unless one is a particularly fast bowler. Still, after just 3 wickets in the last test and just 1 after the West Indies were put in yesterday, it would be nice if Broad were to do some damage today.

I'm not sure Broad's slow pace has anything to do with being injured, more the case he's cut his pace to control the swing. He was up to 90 at times last week so if he is hurt, it's either a recurrence or a new problem

Well Broad has 7 wickets now.
Gabriel at 93mph. I will be surprised if he gets a wicket in the Test.

How has the Tredwell thread ended up talking about how fast Gabriel bowls?

Based on the game so far Tredwell couldn't have done much worse than Moeen. Then again the first innings didn't really suit spinners.

If Tredwell isn't selected today will he be flying home to be ready for Ireland?
