Watched a little bit of highlights from yesterday earlier. Some dubious actions- Vitori and Utseya especially. Chatara was quite nippy and the delivery he got Azhar out with was a peach (although Azhar played a terrible shot).

Zimbabwe play Pakistan in a T20 series tomorrow. Will be interesting to see how Pakistan perform with the England series coming up.

Zimbabwe level the ODI series in controversial fashion today. Chasing 277, Pakistan were reduced to 60/6 until Shoaib Malik, Aamer Yamin and Yasir Shah pulled them up to 256/8. Then the game was called off for bad light with Zimbabwe 6 ahead on D/L and Shoiab 4 short of a century. Couldn't have been too much danger for the batsmen as the last 5 overs had gone for 49 and Yasir had smashed 32 off 22. But hey-ho, congratulations to Zimbabwe, whose batsmen seemed to cope better with Yasir in this match than the first one where he took 6fer

Beaten by minnows in a series, I think the light might just have been an explosion and the roof about to cave in................................

Bangladesh actually a rather decent ODI side too, hardly a minnow.

Qualified for the final of their Tri series against SL and WI. Tied one game with the Windies and beat them in the other. Not sure if it's a fluke or genuine progress, but it's good to see them being competitive again.

Neither. As even this page shows, they are able to knock off the bigger sides in ODIs home from time to time. They were a long way short in their recent tests, though, and can't really progress with the continued threat of their better players emigrating.

Zimbabwe have had a mixed European tour, winning series but with one-day defeats to Scotland and the Netherlands.

With a former Zimbabwe u17 player turning out and taking three wickets for the Dutch.

They won the series today. You have to worry a bit for Sri Lankan cricket at the mo.

Looking fairly good against Sri Lanka in the Test.
Managed a narrow 10 run 1st innings lead, and looked down and out when 59/5 2nd innings, but Raza 97no and Waller 57no, with Moor adding 40, have put them 262 runs ahead with 4 wickets in hand. 12 overs to the new ball, any target of 300+ could prove tricky, especially if Cremer (5/125) can emulate Herath (5/116 and 4/85). Sri Lanka most certainly won't want to face much more then 300 |

Interesting final day in store in Sri Lanka. 218 runs for Sri Lanka, 7 wickets for Zimbabwe. Still sounds reasonable for batting, particularly against the older ball. The pitch is taking a reasonable amount of spin, but slow pace. Countering that, Mendis and Gunaratne are both nursing injuries which will impede them. Shame that Sri Lanka Cricket are only streaming this to Sri Lankans - would love to watch the conclusion.
