Windies got a first-innings lead of 27. Looking like a very difficult pitch to bat on, especially against the spinners.

Watching a bit of Rakheem the Dream bowling at the moment. Quality viewing, a proper sized cricketer. Not like all these racing snakes on show nowadays!

Thanks for the stream.

Top 6 all back in the shed, Lions lead not yet a hundred.

Is Liam livingstone next cab off the rank for spin bowling? He bats and bowled more overs than crane, went for fewer runs and actually took wickets. I am still waiting for a proper explanation of why he toured.

Sounds like he's got all the attributes required.

Is crane injured? It appears our ashes hero is being left to pasture while leach and livingstone do the bowling. Livingstone has 11 first class wickets at 53 from 31 matches. So our supposed test spinner can't get a bowl. Surely he is injured?

@andywiz
Meanwhile Lions have taken a couple of wkts this morning after early start - one each for Livingstone and Leach, who's bowled some rippers. Windies 76-3, needing 30 more

Roland-Jones and Critchley have been added to Lions one day squad
https://www.ecb.co.uk/news/623545/en...s-squad-update

88/6 West Indies A need 18 runs to win
91/7 Livingstone just got a wicket.... 15 to win
Leach a wicket with 9 runs to go

Leach has five. They need 9 to win with 3 wickets left. Crane has bowled one over. Surreal.

Crane has a wicket. I repeat. Crane has a wicket. Two wickets or 8 runs. Come on lions.

99/8 7 runs needed

@andywiz
The crowd erupts as Cornwall runs a 2!

Porter 2-0-11-0
Livingstone 11-1-53-2
Leach 13-2-26-5
Crane 3.3-0-14-1

Crane finally bowled one over, then taken off immediately to be replaced by Livingstone. Possibly due to two left handers batting. Then came back for a further couple of overs before conceding the final runs.

From memory in that time, he lost his run up / stopped in his delivery stride three times, bowled one no ball and one full toss. But did take one wicket (caught and bowled). Plenty of turn.

Match clearly lost in that big partnership in their first innings between Dowrich and Worrican.

Yeah but
A) what did Swann ever achieve?
B) he only takes wickets at Taunton
C) chucks it
D) can't bat.
E) not a mystery spinner

He is not good enough.

Probably well served by having missed the Ashes, though. I feel like he will get a shot one day, possibly as the second spinner in our tour of SL, before never being seen again. Unless we need the obligatory spinner to carry the drinks at Lord’s to keep up appearances.

West Indies A won the toss and elected to field. Davies replaces Foakes who has a stiff back.

83/4 at lunch Livi and Gubbins without scoring all the wickets to spinners.

ETA

Lions 145 all out Warrican 8/34 off 20 Cornwall taking the other two 2/44 off 21 overs.

So England Lions open up with Porter and Roland Jones going at 4+ an over and then turn to Livingstone not Leach

Oh look. Leach comes on and two wickets in first four overs. Why didn't he open?

16 overs each for Leach and Livingstone. Just the 3 overs for Crane. Baffling.
