Forecast for today in Notts is rain, followed by some rain later and to finish of the morning there will be rain. This afternoon they have forecast some rain and this rain will continue raining through to tea. The final session will consist of rain but after this there will be a break in the weather when the rain will change and it will rain instead. To finish of the day it will rain and the end of the day will potentially consist of rain, followed then by some more rain.

So to conclude - It's going to rain.

Current weather in Nottingham - well looking out of my window it's errr.... raining.

I think we are tackling this situation all wrong. Sod the new drainage system, we just need a large gazebo instead.

Hope not. A Derbys/Surrey reject? No thanks, we're better than that.

Our best hope is that it ****es down all day for Durham tomorrow whilst we bat through to maximum batting points, giving us twelve for the match. Best case scenario.

"Match Drawn" status on cric info??? Surely if play is possible both sides would want to try for more bonus points, just to try and gain slightly more on 3rd and below???

Well we get 1 more than them. No idea how it looks in Notts right now but maybe we're happy with that, if play continues the most likely result is Somerset taking an extra bonus point, maybe even 2 or 3, while I have little faith in us getting even one more. I'll take this.

Indeed, the worst case scenario would have been for them to get out for 10 overs and they get a wicket to get a bonus point.

Somerset host Durham starting on Tuesday. Ideally this will be a four day complete wash out leaving us tied on 156 points with Somerset with two games left each. The worst possible thing to happen would be a Somerset win... A Durham one wouldn't be a disaster.

After this, Durham are at home to Sussex and away at Kent. Somerset travel to Yarkshire and host Lancs. We are away at the Oval and home to Hampshire.

If it's within 5/6 points after Durham vs. Somerset I think we stand a good chance as our run in is probably easier. It most definitely isn't a three horse race at the moment though. What we would have given for another 20 overs play at Taunton that morning.

Notts Outlaws team to face Middlesex: Will Jefferson, Graeme Swann, Mark Wagh, Ashwell Prince, Samit Patel, Bilal Shafayat, Chris Read (Capt / Wkt), Paul Franks, Mark Ealham, Andre Adams, Charlie Shreck

Patto is rested due to a minor niggle.

BUT FOR FCUKS SAKE NEWELL FLETCHER HAS COMPLETELY OUTBOWLED FRANKS IN THE LITTLE CRICKET YOU HAVE ALLOWED HIM TO PLAY.

Otherwise not a bad looking team. Makes a huge difference to our OD side having the "spin twins" back. Hopefully we can push on in Pro40. Three wins and we win it, quite simply.

Anyway 41/0 after 5 overs.

Jeff and Swann are a good opening pair in the OD stuff. Hope we can get enough play in today for a result.

We're going for Joyce though according to the transfers thread who would be a good move. I'd like to see two quality batsmen in so we have two signings, the overseas, Jeff, Shaf, Wagh, Hales and Wood all fighting for places. Just Joyce would probably do though, there probably aren't that many good ones available.
