I remember seeing he was on .net today, but can't remember when exactly.

As for the title, you have to beat Yorkshire first! But after you've jumped that small hurdle, there's other teams who actually stand a chance of beating you

I feel very confident about Hampshire's chances this year, more so than the last two years and we've done very well during them

Hopefully Stuart Clark with give us a much needed push towards the Trophy

Absolutely agree feeling very confident especially now Stuart Clark is signed up!
Here's hoping he does for us what he did for OZ in the Ashes.

Went on the Hampshire website earlier today and much to my shock it wasn't looking too bad! It's been pretty poor for a good two years or so...

Well I'm very glad you like it 'ampshire... there's been a lot of effort put into it at the Rose Bowl and we have some good plans for keeping everyone up to date with news and features during the season.

(not that I have a vested interest or anything )

So the Hampshire guys are off to Cape Town for some pre season training tomorrow - including some games against Western Province invitation XIs. Seems like a good way to prepare for the season... lucky buggers!

It does seem I am the only person posting on the Hampshire thread, but anyway, in case there is anybody else about, at Hampshire's media day next week I'd rather the fans asked the questions...

It would be nice if I had some idea about how we're doing out in South Africa...

Well, not long until the start of the season then...
I'm guessing the team that we'll go for in the Championship will be something like:

Adams
Carberry
Crawley
Benham
Lumb
Pothas
Ervine
Mascarenhas
Warne
Tremlett
Clark

Looks pretty good.

As for the one day stuff I'd have thought it will be like this:
Carberry
Benham
Ervine
Crawley
Lumb
Pothas
Mascarenhas
Warne
Udal
Tremlett
Clark

Thinking about it, I wouldn't be surprised if Crawley maybe misses the odd one day game to give some of the younger guys like Stokes and Latouf a chance. Warney, of course, doesn't play Twenty20s and we tend to use those games to give the younger lads a game. I imagine that Bruce and Taylor will get a few games there as well.

Yeah, he did well. Maybe Tremlett getting a couple of games for England (or more likely, niggling injuries) might see Bruce get the odd game here and there...

Bruce will undoubtedly be back in the side by the time you play Gloucestershire. He always bowls well against us.

Well we've got Cardiff UCCE tomorrow and since it's the start of the season, we've put something resembling our strongest available side out.

Brown, Adams, Crawley, Lumb, Benham, Pothas, Ervine, Mascarenhas, Warne, Bruce, Tomlinson.

Carberry and Tremlett are injured and Clark is at the World Cup. Bowling looks a little light really with Tomlinson playing. We must have a better young seamer coming through than Tomlinson and I'll never know how Brown managed to get his contract extended...

Edit: Surely even Taylor should play ahead of Tomlinson?

I know what you mean about Tomlinson, but his career to date has been rather injury blighted - plus he's spent a fair chunk of the winter working on his bowling in Oz. I'm prepared to give the guy another chance.
