I suspect this probably will be his last season, his contract is up I think.

Even more reason to hand the captaincy back to him, he'll be really fired up for a last shot at some silverware for Hampshire.

I reckon around 80 runs. Or 6 wickets.

I hoping for a decent crowd there today but it doesn't help with Warne not playing.

I dunno really. Our bowling looks a bit weak at the moment, I imagine that Powell, Bruce, Udal, Dawson and Ervine will be our bowlers so there's a decent chance of David Sales feasting on that...

Yeah, David Sales is our batting lineup at the moment. David Wigley made 70 the other week though, somehow. In any case, I can't see our bowling troubling your lineup.

Any idea what next week's winning lottery numbers are going to be?

John Crawley has been awarded a benefit year for next year. He deserves it. He's not had the greatest of seasons this year but he's still a class act.

Shaun Udal has announced his retirement from all forms of cricket. Today will be his final game for Hampshire.

A Hampshire legend who I feel has been treated a little harshly in his last season.

Happy retirement Shuan. I suppose this means that Warne will be returning as overseas player nex year! With only 17 year old Liam Dawson on the staff it leaves the spin department a bit bare.

I hear that Billy Taylor is still yet to sign the one-day contract that's been offered to him. Fair play to him if he doesn't sign it IMO. He's been treated really poorly by Hampshire in the last couple of years.

Problem for Billy Taylor is that he's one of a whole bunch of good (but not great) pace bowlers floating between the first and second teams.

Still ridiculous that he's been offered a one-day contract only though. He'd be a regular in quite a few county sides I reckon.

Sussex will re-sign Billy Taylor IF they are UNSUCCESSFUL in recruiting a Kolpak bowler.

Im sure thats the paper misinterpreting what's going on, Mart. These arent viable alternatives are they? I wonder how this would seem if Taylor didnt have a past at Sussex?

I've read that as well. Must admit when I said he would get into other county sides, I was thinking more of Second Division ones!

"Depending on what happens Billy is someone we would consider.
"You know what you get with Billy. He is vastly experienced but we would not regard him as a like-for-like replacement for someone like Rana Naved. "

What Robertson actually said.
