Whoops! Was it always going to be played at the RGS or was it moved because of the pitch problems?

They did well to get to 176 after that sort of start.
Moved because of the flood. There isn't any seating for the spectators or (more importantly) even a bar.

No bar - is that really a surprise? How many schools do you know that have licensed premises?

I don't know the law on this so might be talking crap, but I think they would need a liquor license which needs forward planning; (not one of Newton's strong points), as proved last week at Worcesters swimming pool.

Congrates on beating Essex at home yesterday! Particularly to those noisy buggers behind me!!

Hopefully Essex welcomed you as we would expect to be welcomed in Worcestershire!

It looks very nice. I'm sure the silt will have made the land more fertile and added some much needed nutrients to the soil!

So Worcetsershire have signed Andrew, Whelan, Ahmed, Wheeldon and O Ali. When are the big name signings arriving?

I think Worcestershire need two more seamers. I reckon Worcestershire will be after another two seamers which could be Jones and an overseas seamer. With Bollinger, Sillence, Wedge and Nel having departed and Malik has been told that he can speak to other counties.

Those are the big name signings. A Somerset reject, a Middx reject, and blokes nobody has heard of.

Would that be Mehraj Ahmed? Promising bowlig all rounder?

I've heard Omar Ali isn't that talented and gets into England age group squads 'cos of his name.

At lest the soggy outfield will be gentle on his knees.

If Matt Mason recovers from injury, Worcestershire will certainly have plenty of fast bowling options in 2008.
