I wasn't expecting Asif or Gul to come in 2008, after they were effectively banned by Pakistan this year. Geoff Lawson's influence, perhaps?

Just watch him take loads of wickets against Glos next summer after we tried to sign him a year ago!

Still no overseas player signed. Umar Gul dropped off the radar some time ago. So we set our sights, apparently, on Ashley Noffke - he's not interested either. Have got this sinking feeling that we're going to end up with Bolly again!

Isn't Bracken in the running? Though I think there's a couple of Aussie ODI series next summer that he'll probably be involved in.

Surprised Noffke isn't interested, was at Gloucs last season and another good county stint might be enough to boost him ahead of some in the queue for an Aussie place.

Worcestershire are apparently out of the running for Noffke.

A combination of Magoffin (first half of season) and Edwards (second half) then for Worcestershire's overseas player in 2008. If Mason and/or Jones get fit, that should be a decent enough attack in the second division.

Bears against Worcestershire at New Road on Tuesday April 1st, starting at 10.30 a.m.

The following Monday, April 7th, Worcestershire visit Edgbaston for another one-day match, starting at 10.30 a.m.

The word on Jones and Mason is encouraging. Jonah is practicing with the squad, and Mason is playing/coaching in Perth - Kabir Ali appears to have recovered from his ankle injury too.

Apparently Jonah's fitness will need to be "managed", which is code for he won't be playing in every game.

Perhaps you could add what they all have done. I know that Harvey, Plunkett and Batty were drink and Wagg drugs but what about the rest?
